Accessibility

Intercare wants everyone to be able to browse, shop, and get support, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control.

Our approach

We build our store on a theme that uses semantic HTML, visible focus states, and keyboard-operable controls. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our design target. We test key pages with a keyboard, a screen reader, and automated accessibility tools, and we review new features before publishing them.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time fix. This page describes our target and current efforts. It is not a claim of complete conformance, and we do not use third-party overlay widgets in place of real fixes.

What we have done

  • Used a theme with keyboard-accessible navigation, menus, and forms
  • Added visible focus indicators and skip-to-content navigation
  • Provided text alternatives for product images
  • Maintained color contrast for body text, buttons, and links
  • Used descriptive link text and form labels
  • Supported browser zoom and text resizing without loss of content
  • Included product specifications in text, not only in images

Known limitations

Some content provided by third parties, such as payment pages, review widgets, or embedded videos, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind and raise issues with them when we find them. If a third-party feature blocks you, contact us and we will help you complete your order another way.
